Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • ½ Cup Unsalted Butter
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • ¼ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg Room Temp
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • ½ Tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ Tsp Salt
  • 1-½ Cups AP Flour
  • ½ Cup Chocolate Chips
  • Coarse salt for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F, and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl (or a small saucepan on the stove), heat the butter until just melted.
  • Whisk in the two sugars until thoroughly combined.
  • Let it cool for a minute, and then mix the egg and vanilla extract until combined and smooth.
  • Sprinkle in the baking soda, and salt in and mix.
  • Now add the flour and stir it in until fully combined and the dough is smooth.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop out the dough in tablespoon round balls on the the cookie sheets, about 2inches apart.
  • Sprinkle the top with course sea salt, and place trays in the oven for 9-10 minutes. Let them cool for 5 minutes before enjoying
